If you have been to the store since the election, you may have had a quick, bolting shock run through your body when you heard, “do you want to buy a bag for 10 cents?” What? No! Come to find out, if you don’t buy a bag or if you haven’t brought your own, you will either be this person walking out of the store, or you will have to pack your car and go over speed bumps and turn – VERY carefully.
If you opt to buy a bag, 10 cents can add up very quickly, especially if you have a cart full of items. In this case, bringing your own bag is probably the most appealing option (not to mention, the most cost-effective in the long run).
If you start bringing your own reusable shopping bags to the store, you will save money. Don’t be that guy carrying all of your items under your chin! At some stores, you might even get a credit for bringing your own bag! (We suggest you ask the cashier- doesn’t hurt, right?)
