One of our long-term goals is to become more climate positive by elevating our product offerings to include eco-friendly materials as well as upgrading our everyday life in the offices and warehouse. Today, we’re going to give you a little peek into how we’ve been working towards a greener future.

Upgrading The Paper Mart Offices With LED Lights

One of the steps we’ve recently taken towards becoming climate positive is through the small switch of a lightbulb. The difference was illuminating! By merely switching our everyday light sources to energy efficient bulbs, we’ve reduced our carbon emissions by 62 percent. Here’s a look into our LED light transition journey.

The Challenge: Tackling Our 10 ½ Acre Facility

When it comes to energy consumption, one of the biggest challenges we face is the sheer size of our office and warehouse space. Overall, our space is 10-1/2 acres with two buildings, a large warehouse that houses 26,000+ products, and a 3-story office building that accommodates 250+ employees. Needless to say, the scope of this project proved to be huge.

The Solution: Optimizing Our Energy Consumption

To help streamline the project, we partnered with local business, Revel Energy to create a solution custom to our needs to help lessen our carbon emissions and optimize our energy consumption.
