About Jo Anne
What do you do at Paper Mart? I am the Product Specialist and Customer Service Lead.
How long have you worked here? It will be 38 years on October 7th.
Tell us what a typical day at work entails. A typical day involves me working on various tasks in the Customer Service Dept. I assist customers and reps through email and phone, answer product questions, and help solve their problems.
What do you like best about working at Paper Mart? Do you have a favorite Paper Mart memory? I like the family atmosphere and my co-workers. I have so many memories – our company parties are always filled with good times.
Before Paper Mart, what was the most unusual/interesting job you had? I worked food services at May Co in downtown L.A. Every day I would help out in 4 different food locations within the store.
Apart from your work at Paper Mart, what are some side projects or hobbies you have outside of the office? I enjoy reading books in different genres, mostly mystery and romance. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I “steal” my grandson for sleepovers so we can make memories together.
If you had to eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Italian or Mexican food. I can’t decide!
Would you rather go back in time or in the future? Why? I would go back and spend time with my Grandma and Grandpa. They were awesome people.
Describe what you were like as a child. I was a good kid. I spent my free time rollerskating and riding my bike with friends.
What was the first concert you attended? Molly Hatchet and Blue Oyster Cult.
What’s your all-time favorite TV show? Friends. I watch re-runs all the time.
What is your favorite Paper Mart product and why do you love it? I love our Tulle Ribbon because it is so easy to make beautiful bows – when I give gifts, my family knows which ones are from me!
