About Michael
What do you do at Paper Mart? I am an order picker. I pick orders within the pick-mod and replenish locations.
How long have you worked here? I’ve worked here for 7 years.
Tell us what a typical day at work for you entails. First, I pick out the items for orders and put them in tote bags. When complete, I’ll do directed work, which are replenishments. When I do that, I help put away products brought over from receiving.
What do you like best about working at Paper Mart? What’s your favorite Paper Mart memory?
I like the people. During my first Christmas season here, we had a potluck where we used the pallets to make a large table filled with a lot of food.
Before Paper Mart, what was the most unusual/interesting job you had? Owning a cigar shop. It was in San Francisco on Fisherman’s Wharf. I met so many people from around the world!
Apart from your work at Paper Mart, what are some of your side projects or hobbies? I love going to Disneyland and collecting Disney items.
If you had to eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Mexican food!
Would you rather go back in time or in the future? Why? I would want to go back in time to live with less technology and a simpler way of life.
Describe what you were like at age 10. I was nerdy!
What was the first concert you attended? My first concert was John Denver.
What’s your all-time favorite TV show? The original Star Trek show.
What is your favorite Paper Mart product and why do you love it? My favorite product is our holiday ribbon because it brings up happy memories.
