About Maria
What do you do at Paper Mart? I am an order picker.
How long have you worked here? I’ve worked at Paper Mart for 2 years.
What does a typical day at work for you entail? My daily routine involves grabbing a machine, having our shift huddle, and picking orders, whether it’s in the PickMod or in the racks. After all the orders are picked, they get loaded onto the trucks.
What do you like best about working at Paper Mart? What’s your favorite Paper Mart memory? I appreciate my coworkers; even when I started, everyone was extremely inviting and helpful. My favorite memory would be all the contests and scavenger hunts. I’m really competitive and love a challenge!
Before Paper Mart, what was the most unusual/interesting job you had? I worked for Tous le Jours, a bakery company.
Apart from your work at Paper Mart, what are some of your side projects or hobbies? I do face painting and body art. I also play soccer on the weekends.
If you had to eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Chicken wings for sure!
Would you rather go back in time or in the future? Why? I would rather go back in time. Times were simpler, and we could enjoy the sun a lot more.
Describe what you were like at age 10. Ambitious and energetic, I really loved overcoming anything in my way.
What was the first concert you attended? Florence + the Machine.
What’s your all-time favorite TV show? PowerPuff Girls.
What is your favorite Paper Mart product and why do you love it? The clear vinyl bags in pink and blue – they remind me of my childhood!
