[Video] How To Perfectly Wrap A Gift: 3 Ways

With all that work you put into finding the perfect holiday gift, who knew that simply wrapping it would prove to be the most daunting task? From picking the wrapping paper to tying the bow, if you’re starting from scratch, it can be pretty overwhelming. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

No matter what type of present you’re wrapping this season, we’ve designed three creative ways you can wrap up your gifts. Check it out!

Traditional Holiday Gift

For a classically beautiful gift, look no further than a bold candy stripe. We love the timeless style of red and white stripes against the subtle sheen of forest green satin. It’s a look that is so perfect, Santa’s elves will marvel at your skill.

Here’s What You’ll Need To Create This Look

How To Perfectly Wrap A Gift That Would Make Santa Proud:

1.) First, wrap your box with a classic candy striped paper.

2.) Next, trim your satin ribbon and wrap it around your box up once.

3.) Don’t forget to personalize your gift! While your ribbon is still untied, string your gift tag onto it.

4.) Embellish with a basic boutique bow.
Note: To create a basic boutique bow, make two loops with your cord, cross one over the other, tie them together. Tighten to secure, fluff out loops as desired, and let the ends curl gracefully downward.

5.) Finally, finish by trimming your ribbon ends to the size of your newly wrapped gift.

Natural & Eco-friendly Gift

Thinking about wrapping gifts with brown paper? For a simple and naturally charming gift package, simply use the materials you have on hand. Whether it’s wrapped in fabric or plain Kraft paper, a present wrapped with care and a few meaningful details is precious. Here, we’re layering one of our favorite baker’s twine patterns against natural Kraft paper and embellishing with festive natural accents.

Here’s What You’ll Need To Create This Look

How To Create A Brown Paper Package, Tied Up With String:

1.) First, create your package using natural Kraft paper.

2.) Next, tie it up with your string! We double wrapped ours to add a dainty stripe detail to the overall look.

3.) Embellish naturally with a sprig of fresh pine or holly and your hang tag. The trick to keeping this enhancement in place? Add before tying your bow.

4.) Finish with a sweet and simple boutique bow, trimmed at the ends.

Glamorous Holiday Gift

For a gift that will make a dramatic statement, incorporate all the glamorous things – metallics, jewels, and (of course!) glitter. While thinking about these items together may seem extravagant, if you layer them appropriately, the result can be stunning.

Here’s What You’ll Need To Create This Look

How To Bring On The Glam:

1.) First, envelop your present with festive metallic wrapping paper.

2.) Layer on the glitz using your diamond wrap. To secure, hot glue the edges to your present.

3.) After, keep the sparkles going with glittery ribbon accents. Trim your ribbon and tie in a secure center knot.

4.) To create volume with your ribbon, design a dramatic rosette bow by creating the layers of your bow with your hands. Hold four fingers in one hand together and wrap with your ribbon 10 times. While wrapping, make sure the layers are flat.

5.) Once wrapped, cinch the layers together at the center of your bow with your fingers. On each side of your ribbon, cut a notch.

6.) After notches are cut, center the ribbon and secure with a knot.

7.) Form your rosette bow by gently spreading ribbon layers outward and twisting upward. Shape bow and edges to create depth.
