Tulle is a versatile material that you can use to create a number of accessories including hair bows. Making a tulle hair bow is quite simple and once you have the technique down, you can create a hair bow for every occasion using colored, patterned, or even glitter tulle. | ||
Materials: | ||
6″ spool of tulle
3/8″ grosgrain ribbon (your choice of color or pattern) Measuring tape Thread Alligator hair clip |

Instructions: | ||
1. Cut a piece of tulle that is 3 yards in length. | ||

2. Line the alligator hair clip with the black grosgrain ribbon and use the hot glue gun to secure it in place. | ||

3. Fold the tulle so that the each layer is 12 ” long. | ||
4. Begin folding the tulle accordion style with each segment being approximately 1-1/2″. | ||

5. Pinch the tulle in the middle. | ||

6. Wrap the thread around the middle tightly and tie it off. | ||

7. Cut a small piece of the colored/patterned ribbon and hot glue it to the center. It should cover up the thread. | ||

8. Hot glue the bow to the alligator clip. |

Grab your tulle bow. Use the side with raw edges to determine the middle point of your bow. Gather the tulle from one raw edge to the other.
