About Gabby
What do you do at Paper Mart? I spend a lot of time with the product before it gets on the web! I write the fun descriptions for each item and help determine how they’ll be promoted through things like landing pages, emails, and blog posts.
How long have you worked here? It’s been a very quick year and a half!
Tell us what a typical day at work for you entails. My days usually start with a blank sheet of paper, a very large cup of coffee, and a great playlist to groove to at my desk. From that point, content gets written and products get merchandised!
What do you like best about working at Paper Mart? The people! The Paper Mart team is fantastic. Everybody is always at the top of their game and constantly challenges each other to do their best. It’s extremely exciting.
Before Paper Mart, what was the most unusual/interesting job you had? I’ve worked in the service, retail, and the beauty industries. All of which were really unique! However, I’ve recently adopted my first cat so, I’d say “Cat Trainer” is the most unusual job I’ve taken on.
Apart from your work at Paper Mart, what are some side projects or hobbies you have outside of the office? Most of my spare time is spent eating my way through different cities. If I’m not doing that, I’m either at the library or obsessing over my pets.
If you had to eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Leave me with a lush cheese plate paired with something tasty to drink, and I could be perfectly happy for the rest of my life.
Would you rather go back in time or in the future? Why? I’ve watched enough sci-fi to know that messing with fixed points of time is frowned upon. I’d zoom around in the future.
Describe what you were like as a child. As a kid, I spent a lot of time indoors with a cup of tea and a book. I talked about nothing and dreamed about everything! Not much has changed.
What’s your all-time favorite TV show? It’s probably a tie between Doctor Who and The Great British Bake Off. Currently, I’ve been very into Good Omens, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Hilda, and finally – the newest season of Queer Eye.
What is your favorite Paper Mart product and why do you love it? Ribbons! Have you seen our ribbons selection?! It never ceases to amaze me the wonderful amount of patterns, textures, and fabrics that we provide. I’m constantly surprised.
